10am - 11:30 am @ H2Hotel Green Room Cultivating Sustainable Ecosystems Kickoff - Welcome and Orientation to the 4-day Program, Regenerative Design: Introduction to Principles & Process

meet at H2Hotel Green Room after the kickoff to carpool to first site visit

12pm - 3pm (meet at H2Hotel Green Room to carpool) Sustainable Community Tour: Occidental Arts and Ecology Center - tour of local sustainable community center; facilitated discussion on making the transition to sustainable living place-based and the financial organization of intentional communities and ecological living centers.

Monday, June 17th

9:30am - 11:00am @ H2Hotel Green Room Designing Ecological Communities & Institutions - practical frameworks and case studies in designing tools for empowering ecosystems and designing communities

11:00am - 3:00pm (meet at H2Hotel Green Room to carpool) Sustainable Farm Tour: Earthseed Farm - 14-acre solar-powered organic permaculture farm and orchard; ancestral agricultural practices and technological advancements of Afro-indigenous wisdom traditions.


Tuesday, June 18th

10:00am - 12:00pm @ H2Hotel Green Room Building Tools for Facilitating Regenerative Community Networks - best practices, common pitfalls, and design frameworks for building maps, social tools, and network facilitation technologies to catalyze the regenerative shift. Collaborative group dynamics and facilitation training, tool co-design.

12:30pm-3:30pm (meet at H2Hotel Green Room to carpool) Sustainable Community Hub Tour: Permaculture Skills Center - visit with permaculture designer and regenerative landscape architect Erik Ohlsen to learn how to design sustainable community living projects.

Wednesday, June 19th

10:00am-12:00pm @ Harmon Hotel - Merritt Hall Governance of Sustainable Communities - informative workshop on creating technical tooling. Discuss public good funding stacks and other governance infrastructure for allocation of funds and decision making in sustainable communities.

1pm - 4pm (meet at Harmon Hotel - Merritt Hall to carpool) Agro-ecology Vineyard Tour & Wine Tasting - tour this sustainable farm and vineyard that uses agroecology, permaculture, and biodynamic farming practices; taste 4 different wines while on the land. We’ve reached our RSVP max but you are welcome to meet us at 1pm at Harmon Guest House lobby to see if we can add you in from the “wait list.”
