About Prof. Tian Xu
Prof. Tian Xu is Chair Professor of Genetics at Westlake University and served as the Founding Vice President of Westlake University from 2018 to 2024. Before joining Westlake, he was a professor of genetics at Yale University and an Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. His research has focused on developing and applying genetic approaches to understand development, disease, tumorigenesis, and broader biological mechanisms relevant to human health.

嘉宾介绍
许田教授 是西湖大学遗传学讲席教授，并曾于 2018–2024 年担任西湖大学创校副校长。在加入西湖大学之前，他曾任耶鲁大学遗传学教授，并长期担任 Howard Hughes Medical Institute 研究员。许田教授的研究长期聚焦于发展和应用遗传学方法，理解发育、疾病、肿瘤发生与转移等重要生命过程，也为理解人类健康与疾病机制提供了重要科学工具与视角。
