If you are thinking about submitting a piece of work for the Human Tech residency, this is a supplement that can help refine your thinking around problem statements.The goal is to build a shared foundation for thinking about “Progress;" its cultural interpretations, ethical challenges, and how we design for human-aligned outcomes at scale.

We’ll explore three prompts together:

- Information as commodity, does it have value? (IP, inventions, art, etc.)

- Does locking up information meaningfully enforce its value?

- How does progress depend on free flow of information?

- Defense implies adversaries. Who are these adversaries?

- How does conflict and tension stimulate defensive tech?
