Lindsay Sanwald (MDiv, Harvard Divinity School) will lead a fun and contemplative discussion on the esoteric teachings of the Upanishads.
These ancient Vedic texts from India (author-less, and dating back between c. 800 and 500 BCE) were born out of an oral tradition of storytelling between teacher and student. Though often paradoxical and confounding, the Upanishads (translated as “hidden connections”) are full of rich philosophical content and timeless spiritual wisdom that forms the basis of yogic thought and instruction, useful today for both practitioner and teacher.
