A message from the founder:

We would like to briefly share what we have experienced over the past few months when we have presented our Bwawani Fusion Zanzibar project – to government agencies, to decision-makers, and in personal conversations with people who have a say in this region.

It is not easy to implement such large projects, but what really pleases us and makes us optimistic at Bwawani Fusion is that we experience genuine interest almost everywhere. Not just polite listening or formal curiosity. But genuine, personal, lively interest.

When we show the videos – currently still the long versions – we often have to reassure people and ask for a little patience, as the first step is to learn about history, for the transition and understanding. We have to ask them to wait with questions, as these will be answered meaningfully and integrated throughout the following video. And the longer it plays, the quieter the room becomes. Posture changes. Skepticism subsides. It becomes more relaxed. And then genuine interest emerges. Some start to ask questions. Others say, "Show me more. This is serious. This could really work."

Many of the people we speak with have childhood memories of this very site. They tell us that this was a significant and once popular destination. That there was a restaurant, a pool, a hotel as a meeting place for the upper class, a place for Sundays, family celebrations, events, meetings, and consultations. Relevant to the community… A place with heart, with history, with soul.

And that's exactly where our concept fits in. It's not about some new luxury project. It's about revitalization. About responsibility. About a future that connects with the past.

Now the pressure is building. The responsible government officials say that inquiries are frequently made, projects are presented, investors want to buy, but so far nothing suitable has come up. They're asking for more. We have the impression that they want the project.

We now need a concrete white paper. A structured presentation. A draft site plan. A bridge between vision and reality.

And that's exactly what we're working on now. Because when so many people who can make a difference say, "This has potential," then it's time to get serious.

Thank you to everyone who has listened openly and responded honestly so far. I'm looking forward to the next step – together and hope for your support.
