Problem: Urbanists do not like that YIMBYs advocate for housing without regard for urban design or beauty. Many YIMBYs don’t even know what they would need to advocate for in order to ensure that new housing produces great urbanism.

The key takeaway from the National Housing Supply Summit earlier this year was simply: “Legalize townhomes everywhere!” This very sticky motto is likely to produce density but not great urbanism. (Simply replacing “townhomes” with “row homes” would go a long way…)

Solution: An iconic image designed to proliferate around the internet that will educate and rally YIMBYs around effectively advocating for great urbanism as they advocate for abundant housing.
