In this talk, I share lessons from nearly a decade of designing web3 tools in Oakland, Nairobi, Cape Town, and Jackson, Mississippi. Drawing from lived case studies and my current research at the Yale School of Architecture, I explore how decentralized technology and spatial design can converge to support local, regenerative economies. Through reflections on commitment pooling, mutual aid, and the built environment, I invite us to rethink what it means to design infrastructure for cooperation.
