Madeleine, an 11-year-old Acton Academy student, runs Madeleine’s Marbling, selling hand-marbled greeting cards, bookmarks, and notebooks. Her business earned over $500 at the Acton Children’s Business Fairs in Washington, DC (short video).

She also provides neighborhood services like dog walking, training, babysitting, and Christmas cookie baking, and sold a two-hour consulting session to help a neighbor with a work presentation. Madeleine serves as a tour guide at her school, showcasing Acton’s “learning by doing” mission. She enjoys acting, theatre, gymnastics, sleepovers, and animals. She wishes her parents would let her have a dog.
