We want to be seen, we want to be known, we want to be understood. In some ways, the people closest to us are the ones who know us best. In some ways, sometimes it’s easier to be most open and free with people who don’t know us well at all.
What’s valuable about each and what are the limitations? What do we get from strangers? From acquaintances? From people we know in contained contexts like Edge Esmeralda, or this workshop?
This session will involve some conversations and also some light interpersonal exercises and experiments to explore these questions. This will go on for 90 minutes or so. I’ve booked some time after for informal socializing after the workshop.
I’m Misha Glouberman, I’m running this. In my home of Toronto, I run a popular series called “All about Intimacy” with my friends Sophia and Heidi, where we explore love, sex, friendship and more, through conversation and experiential exercises.
