The current health influencer messaging says total sobriety is the best way… but does moderate drinking have any less easily measured benefits? Could microdosing alcohol enhance social ease, creativity, or even performance in specific tasks?
We are running a scientific study called Alcohol-Induced Peak Performance! Our research question: Is there a low level of alcohol intake at which programming/math performance improves?
Participation entails hanging out, drinking some beer (either alcoholic or non-alcoholic, you will be blinded), and occassionally I will ask you to do a math or programming problem. No one will be given more to drink than the maximum amount they indicate they are comfortable with, and you will do problems at your level of proficiency.
