For a new social-artistic project in Amsterdam I invite people to share their thoughts and experiences on what a post-capitalist city would look like for them. How does regeneration work within cities? How can we live differently in big and differentiated communities?
About the project:
From T.I.N.A to T.A.M.A is a collective transformative journey in the coming months where we bring urban communities together to reflect on the state of their cities: From "There Is No Alternative" to “There Are Many Alternatives”.
Agenda for upcoming events in Amsterdam:
Okt 13: boot tour with Rederij Lampedusa through Amsterdam canals. During this 1,5 hour boat tour you’ll be looking at the city with new eyes. Where Amsterdam was once the cradle of capitalism during the VOC, could it give birth to its alternatives today?
Aboard the boat of Rederij Lampedusa we’ll contemplate where this system resides within each of us. And we’ll tour the city, opening our eyes to what could be. To guide us we invite post-capitalist experts along for the ride. We invite all boat passengers to also share their vision.
Nov 22: farewell ceremonie at de Nieuwe Kerk Amsterdam. In this performative ceremony, priestess Tama takes the audience on a musical program in which we say goodbye to capitalism as the only vision for the future. Amsterdam was once the cradle of this system during the VOC. During De Spirit we will hold a contemplative ceremony, on top of the grave of Michiel de Ruyter, to be inspired together to find alternatives.
