Cosimo is running a trial comparing the effects of kava and alcohol. You will be given one standard drink of either alcohol, kava, or placebo (juice), and asked to converse with a small group of people for 30 minutes. Afterwards you will answer a brief survey.

Kava is a drink made from the Piper methysticum plant that has been consumed traditionally in the Pacific islands for hundreds of years. It has relaxing anti-anxiety effects and feels somewhat like being tipsy but also different. It’s lately been increasing in popularity in the West.
